DESCRIPTION:Taking the pleasant Ohio-based portions of our classic Kittens and Puppies route\, but skipping the ever-worsening segment on Rt 51\, this is a pleasant jaunt into eastern Ohio and back.\nThe ride starts and ends in Monaca\, PA\, at Pump House Park. (Note that there is parking at several locations scattered around the park\, all within a few hundred feet of one another). \n  \nScouting notes\, April 2nd 2025: \n– Construction on River Road (mile 10/mile 55): one lane road\, with traffic signal to control traffic flow. \n– Construction on 170 in New Middleton: 170 is closed past the Subway at the turnaround\, so shouldn’t directly affect the route: do watch for poorer-than-usual road surface and unusual traffic patterns\, though. \n  \nRegistration closes: Thursday April 3rd 2025 \nInspection opens: Saturday April 5th 8:30 AM \nRequirements: current RUSA membership\, signed waiver \nRide start: Saturday April 5th 9:00 AM (6:40 time limit) \nRoute: \n
